Instagram

Oh how i love Instagram!

It has to be one of my fav apps on my phone. It is amazing how it makes all my pictures look so good. With all the extra apps for instagram as well you can add things to the pictures and even collage the pictures, great for before and after split image, it is magic!

Especially for jewellery it can really glam up an image, have a look at the difference...

see it can make a photographer out of anyone and i like that you don't have to ready what is going on you can see what your friends and others are doing and seeing. If you haven't been on it go directly now, it is my favourite addiction on my phone. Below are some that favourites of mine

this is a ugly but cute one of my dog Chikko she was trying to get me to give her a treat!
this a more cuter one of her
This is my fav pic that i took of the pole at my old workspace

Colour my world!

although i know diamonds are a girls best friend. Sapphires make me happy. their colours appeal to my eyes! did you know that they come in every colour but red ( red being a ruby) I love my sapphire rings, just going up the street is a chance for me to put my newest creation on, she is named the Queen Mona Whinga as that is shat i did til she was finished. She is a collaboration af every shade of sapphire with a german yellow centre and diamonds in between and framing her. i call it a her because she is so stunning. I have the original ring i made that is a row of different colours like a rainbow, still a fav and then there is the duchess! pure blue centre with a row of diamonds then shaded pinks around the outside, a stunner also. ohh the colours, why would you just want all white when you can sneak little shots of colour inbetween. Elizabeth Taylor had an amazing brooch all diamond encrusted with just hints of colour through out. this was one of the inspirations for the Queen mona, only in reverse. My ring is like a freckle, and truly edible. I get such joy just staring into her and seeing all the different colours and shades. I think everyone deserves a piece of jewellery that makes them smile and they love to wear. it can take years to make ( queen mona was 7 years to collect the stones and make) and may cost more than a sending you children to private school, but let me tell you it is a great guilty pleasure to have and cherish!

The queen Mona Whings top view
the queens side view, aren't the colours edible?, and the S design on the sides
The Duchess, like princess diana's but blinged out!!!
Th original sapphire ring, i saw them sitting together at the stone merchants when i was at art school and always wanted a collection of colours, then i had to border them in diamonds!

Refreshing jewellery

refreshing jewellery is sometimes the best thing to revive the old tired look of a piece that you love but has lost the sparkle it once has. this is especially relevant to semi precious stones as over the years and with lots of wear they become scratched and chipped. think of what a tired old pair of shoes look like after a while. This month i have been like a plastic surgeon, revitalising some old faces and have been loving the transformations. cost wise a cheap investment for a great result. below are some examples of the before and afters....
